　　In recent weeks as a new presidential administration took power, legal and policy experts have hotly debated both the prudence and the justice of birthright citizenship. Does the Fourteenth Amendment require granting American citizenship to everyone born on these shores? Or does that interpretation of the citizenship clause go too far?
