The Acton Institute recently donated a number of titles on faith, work, and economics to the Theological Book Network which will distribute them to its partner institutions in what it calls the ‘Majority World’ (‘Majority World’ is a term coined to replace earlier sometimes anachronistic or misleading terms like ‘Third World’ or ‘Developing World’). The Theological Book Network is a Grand Rapids based non-profit,
mitted to the creation and development of Majority World leaders by providing access to educational resources from the West and by assisting in the production and dissemination of local resources, contributing to the practice of theological reflection on the needs and goals of the Majority World Church.”Acton is excited to help the Theological Book Network in its mission. Titles to be distributed included Economic Shalom: A Reformed Primer on Faith, Work, and Human Flourishing, Flourishing Faith: A Baptist Primer on Work, Economics, and Civic Stewardship, and Flourishing Churches and Communities: A Pentecostal Primer on Faith, Work, and Economics for Spirit Empowered Discipleship.
Acton Research continues to explore ways to work together with the Theological Book Network to provide educational resources to the future leaders of the Majority World Church.
