(kab' zih uhl) Place name meaning, “may God gather”; same as Jekabzeel in Nehemiah 11:25 . Located in the southeast part of Judah near the border of Edom (Joshua 15:21 ). The home of Benaiah, an officer under David and Solomon (2 Samuel 23:20; 1 Chronicles 11:22 ). One of the towns reoccupied by the Jews after the return from the Exile (Nehemiah 11:25 ).
