a Protestant theologian of Germany, was born in 1768. In 1807 he was appointed evangelical member of consistory and superintendent at Vienna; in 1819 he became director of the Protestant Theological Lutheran Seminary; and died April 26, 1827. In connection with K. Cleunmann, he published Allgem. prakt. Bibliothek f r Prediger u. Schulmdinner (Vienna, 1801-3, 2 vols.).
