Bible Verses for Losing a Loved One

　　Comforting Scriptures for Dealing with Loss "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." ~ Matthew 5:4 The Bible tells us that God will comfort those who grieve, as "the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) It is natural to mourn the loss of a loved one with death being an unfortunate part of our fallen world. Let us remember it is Jesus Christ that gives us eternal life to those who believe in Him.
