　　The diocese of Kaduna, Nigeria, Africa was established on August 24, 1911, entrusted to the Priests of the African Missions of Lyons. The name was changed to the Prefecture Apostolic of Nigeria Settentrionale on July 18, 1929. Elevated to the Prefecture Apostolic of Kaduna on April 9, 1934. Elevated to the Diocese of Kaduna on June 29, 1953. Elevated to the Archdiocese of Kanduna on July 16, 1959. See also:
